Olive Blackburn is the author of Communism is up there and we are down here but it is happening now (Timeless Infinite Light, 2014). She recently completed her doctorate at UCLA, writing a dissertation on the intersection of modern dance history and Marxian political economy. She lives in Oakland.

Jared Stanley is a writer and artist. He is the author of three full-length collections of poetry, including EARS, The Weeds, and Book Made of Forest, as well as many chapbooks, pamphlets, artist editions, and ephemera, including A Continual Hint, Green Hearts and Fire to You, How the Desert Did Me in, and Special Newlands Extraction Rubbing. Other writing has recently appeared in Triple Canopy, Literary Hub, The Offing, and Poem-a-Day. He was born in Arizona, raised in the East Bay, and lives in Reno, Nevada.

Cynthia Manickis the author of Blue Hallelujahs (Black Lawrence Press, 2016). A Pushcart Prize nominated poet with a MFA in Creative Writing from the New School; she is a winner of the 2016 Lascaux Prize in Collected Poetry and a 2017 recipient of the Barbara Memorial Fund Award for Poetry. Manick’s work has appeared in the Academy of American Poets Poem-A-Day Series, African American Review, Bone Bouquet, Callaloo, Clockhouse, Human Equity Through Art (HEArt), Kweli Journal, Muzzle Magazine, Obsidian: Literature in the African Diaspora, PLUCK!
