New Year's Eve with Saltonstall!

Farewell, 2020! This New Year’s Eve, join us online as Saltonstall Foundation alums share some work and engage in conversation about life, craft, and quarantine snacks. We will host four conversations between pairs of poets and visual artists, who are reconnecting with each other to end the year.

Featuring:

- poets Emily Brandt ('13) and Cynthia Manick ('18)

- visual artists Lorrie Fredette ('14) and Beth Giacummo ('16)

- painters John Hampshire and Lisa Lebofsky (from the same residency session in 2014)

- poets Ama Codjoe ('17) and Nkosi Nkululeko ('19)

Our hope is that these discussions will let us reflect on the year and its many twists and turns: from shared national events like social justice marches and the presidential election, to our personal and creative responses to lock-down. If the year has taught us about the scarcity of clorox wipes, it has also taught us about how art, poetry, and creativity persevere. Let's close the door on 2020 and embrace 2021 with a spirit of collective optimism for a healthier, more just, and more connected community.
