Good poems will bridge craft (metaphor, line, and image) and heart (that thing that is unique to each and every poet.) But those poems take time and fostering to get there. Join poet Cynthia Manick for Poetry Mavens and Mayhem, a 3-month community of poetry critiques using the WetInk platform. Participants will have 2 poems critiqued in writing by Cynthia per month, as well as written critiques by their peers, and a bi-weekly prompt offered by Cynthia for inspiration. In critique we will ask: What images or lines stand out? Where is the heart or creative spark of the poem? and What else does the reader need to know to inhabit the poem fully? Join us as we build community while becoming better poets.
